Abstract

The present investigation was carried out to study the fertility status of soils of Tuljapur tahsil of Osmanabad district. For this soils characteristics were classified according to soil Texonomy into Vertosols, Enseptisols and Entisol. Available nitrogen content in soils of Tuljapur tahsil was higher in Vertisols and Inceptisols as compared to Entisols. Majority of the soil sample were low in available nitrogen and phosphorus contents while high in available K. The soils were rich in Ca and Mg while low in available S. With respect to micronutrients, soils were low in DTPA- Zn while high in DTPA- Fe, Mn and Cu.
