Foraging activity of bees in sesamum crop during pre and post spray of Citral-a (10μl/l), Citral-b (10μl/l), Geranial (10μl/l), Vanilla flavour (200μl/l), Pineapple flavour (200μl/l), Mango flavour (200μl/l), Chocolate flavour (200μl/l) and Rose white flavour (200μl/l) attractants indicated that Apisdorsata, Apisflorea and nonapis bees were attracted by very few attractants and scents. In case of A. dorsata Citral-b followed by Citral-a and Geraniol treated plots attracted more bees. However, pineapple flavour, chocolate flavour, rose white flavour, vanilla and mango flavour did not show any increase in bee visitation over the control. The spraying of attractant Citral-b, Citral-a and Geraniol remained effective for three days after spraying, which attracted bees of A. florea. The Pineapple flavour, Rose white flavour, Chocolate and Vanilla flavour remained effective in attracting non-Apis bees only on day of spraying.
