Abstract

The field experiment was conducted to evaluate the rates of castor cake and banana psuedostem sap on growth and yield of organically grown garlic at organic farm of Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari during the rabi 2010 and 2011. The experiment was laid out in Randomized block design with thirteen treatments, each replicated three times. The results revealed that the maximum plant height, length of leaves, neck length neck girth, bulb diameter, weight per bulb, and number of cloves as observed during both the years due to the application of 33.3% RDN through Vermicompost, 33.3% through biocompost and 33.4% through castor cake + 2000 lit. banana psuedostem sap at 45 and 55 DAP. This treatment was found to be significantly superior.
