Abstract

The wilt incidence was recorded after 8 days of sowing in the cultivars of chickpea. The progress of the disease was comparatively faster and continuously increased in Guj.Gram-2, and reached up to 5.22 per cent. The co efficient of determination (R2) value was 98.75 per cent. The multiple regression equations Y= -68.32 + 1.92 (X1) + 0.23 (X2) 0.38 (X3) and Y=-54.51 + 1.07 (X1) + 2.42 (X3) [where X1 = soil temperature (°C) at 10 cm depth, X2 = relative humidity and X3 = minimum atmospheric temperature (°C)] established. The observed and predicted wilt incidences were found to be closely related.
