Abstract

One hundred seventeen divergent genotypes of rice were studied for genetic variability, heritability and genetic advance during kharif season of 2009–10 under rainfed condition. The highest magnitude of genotypic variation was observed for grain yield per plant. High heritability coupled with high genetic advance was observed for grain yield per plant, days to 50% flowering, days to maturity and biological yield while moderate heritability was observed for leaf rolling and harvest index.
