Application of fertilizer nitrogen increased almost all growth parameters of Golden rod. Nitrogen @ 250 kg N/ha significantly increased number of suckers per plant (7.38) number of inflorescence branches (41.75), length of panicle (71.46 cm), length of rachis (42.78 cm), longevity of inflorescence in situ (22.65 days), fresh weight (102.70 g) and dry weight of panicle (38.18 g), number of panicles per plant (3.33) and yield per hectare (3.69 lakh) as compared to control. Earliest flowering was recorded with 200 kg N/ha (73.70 days). However, highest vase life (7.28 days) was observed when nitrogen was not applied.
