Efficacy of bio organics against early blight of tomato caused by Alternaria solani

Abstract

Field experiment conducted to evaluate the efficacy of different bio organics for management of early blight of tomato caused by Alternaria solani revealed that among all treatments of bio organics goat urine (10%) was effective with 43.20 per cent disease reduction over control (PDC). It was followed by buffalo urine (20%) with 35.19 PDC and vermi wash (40%) with 34.83 PDC. Mancozeb (0.2%) was found to be most effective with 59.83 Per cent disease reduction over control (PDC) with higher yield of 22.90 t ha−1 followed by goat urine (21.37 t ha−1) and buffalo urine (20.33 t ha−1). This indicated that use of goat urine (10) can be effectively used for organic production of tomato for management of early blight disease.
