Abstract

A 19.927 kDa Cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) protein has been characterized in Channa marulius. The COI three dimensional (3D) structure was generated using Deep View/Swiss PDB Viewer 3.7 (Sps) by homology modelling. The predicted 3-D model showed that 87.1% amino acid residues fall in most favoured region, 11.7% in additionally allowed regions, 0.6% in generously allowed regions and 0.6% fall in disallowed region, isoelectric point 4.58, instability index 27.89 and aliphatic index 121.72.
