Abstract

The genotypes of Mungbean differed significantly for the trait both at 20 and 60 DAS stages. The values of SLA obtained during kharif season were slightly higher than those of summer seasons. TARM-18 was top ranking genotype at 20 and 60 DAS both during kharif and summer seasons, whereas the genotype TM 98–58 was low ranking genotype. The leaf area and leaf dry weight were complementary to each other. The genotypes TM 98-50 and TM 99–50 possessing high seed yield had low SLA values accompanied with high leaf dry weight. SLA had negative unstable correlation with seed yield, whereas the leaf area showed significantly positive correlation with seed yield.
