Abstract

Fifty phosphate solubilizing bacteria (PSB) and fungi (PSF) each were isolated from fifty chilli rhizosphere soil samples. Selected isolates were tested for Phosphorus (P) solubilizing, pH change, phosphatase (Acid and Alkaline) activity, titratable acidity and organic acid production under in vitro conditions. Among the bacterial isolates PSB-Y-9, and fungal isolates PSF-DD-3 recorded higher values for all parameters.
