Abstract

Effect of different mulches on growth and yield characters of onion cv. Phule Samarth revealed that the highest plant height (54.04 cm) at 60 days after transplanting was recorded under black polythene mulch (200 guage) while, significantly maximum marketable yield per hector (39.58 t/ha) was observed in mulching with sugarcane trash, which was at par with black polythene (200 guage). (36.00 t/ha).
