Domestic ducks, Anas platyrhynchos were examined for the presence of phthirapteran ectoparasites. Three species of Phthiraptera (two ischnoceran lice, Anaticola crassicornis, Anatoecus dentatus, and one amblyceran louse, Holomenopon leucoxanthum) were recovered. The occurrence of Holomenopon leucoxanthum Burmeister, 1838 has been recorded for the first time on domestic ducks from India. Aredescription of the species is provided.
