Abstract

Thirty four genotypes consisting of 31 advanced breeding lines, two resistant checks, ICG (FDRS) 79 and GPBD 4 and one susceptible check, Narayani were screened for their reaction to foliar diseases. Those were genotyped using identified SSR markers, GM 2301, IPAHM 103 and GO 36F & GO 213R. Out of three markers, GM 2301 was more efficient through which 82% of phenotypically resistant genotypes could be classified as resistant, followed by IPAHM 103. Out of 14 phenotypically susceptible genotypes, 13 were classified as susceptible by IPAHM 103 marker while only nine by GM 2301 marker.
