Grain yield was significantly correlated with number of primary branches plant−1, number of secondary branches plant−1, plant height, number of capitula plant−1, number of effective capitula plant−1, number of seeds primary capitulum−1, number of seeds secondary capitulum−1, seed to hull ratio, and biomass. Path coefficient analysis revealed that number of capitula plant−1, number of seeds secondary capitulum−1, days to maturity and biomass had highest positive direct effect on grain yield. Improvement of the grain yield can be efficient via number of capitula plant−1, number of seeds secondary capitulum−1, days to maturity and biomass based selection.
