Abstract

Set treatment of sugarcane (variety Co 86032) with lignite based Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus culture @ 10 kg in 100 lit water ha −1 for 30 minutes just before planting coupled with soil application of 75% (300:128:170 kg ha−1) recommended dose of nitrogen and phosphorus gave the highest cane yield (139.35 t ha−1), CCS yield (20.03 t ha−1), gross/net monetary returns and benefit: cost ratio.
