Sixteen sugarcane genotypes along with seven checks were tested against whip smut disease during 2009–10 to 2011–12. Out of 16 genotypes screened, Co 06002 showed resistant reaction to smut. Twelve genotypes were moderately resistant, while the remaining were moderately susceptible.
