The Antiviral Red Fluorescent Protein from the silkworm was purified from digestive juice, by ammonium sulfate saturation, organic solvent precipitation and gel filtration chromatography on sephadex G-100 column. The purified protein in native PAGE showed two bands. SDS PAGE pattern for the RFP from the gut fluid revealed the presence of three different bands of varying molecular weights.
