Abstract

The present study was undertaken to identify ISSR markers associated with powdery mildew resistance in green gram (Vigna radiata (L.) Wilczek) cross between Kopargaon (susceptible) and BPMR-48 (resistant). Among the 75 ISSR markers, 54 were amplified in DNA extracted from green gram. Four markers were polymorphic for the two parents (Kopargaon and BPMR-48) whereas, only one marker was found polymorphic between the parents as well as resistant and susceptible population.
