Trichoderma harzianum isolated from rhizosphere soil was screened for its biocontrol potential against wilt pathogen Fusarium oxysporum. It was multiplied on 15 locally available agro-cellulosic wastes. Trichoderma harzianum showed 61 to 71% mycelial inhibition of Fusarium oxysporum. Maximum colony forming units (CFU) were formed on Rice Bran followed by Wheat Bran. Only 8 out of 15 agricultural wastes were able to support shelf life of Trichoderma harzianum for a period of 180 days. The agricultural wastes supporting higher propagule formation and increased shelf life may be used for mass production of bio-agent.
