Abstract

Under polyhouse weekly average incident radiations (PAR) was 345.70μmolm−2s−1. Canopy temperature (Tc) was consistently lower in rose plants (28.9°C) due to the application of Nitrogen, Phosphorus Potassium @ 1200:1200:1200 mg/pl/wk,whereas, higher canopy temperature (32.8° C) was observed due to NPK @ 800:800:800 mg/pl/wk. The canopy-air temperature differential (ΔTc) values were negative for all fertilizer levels under polyhouse condition. Thus thecanopy of rose plants was cooler than ambient air. There was increasing trend in canopy-air temperature differential with respect to treatments from T1 -2.7°C to T5 -3.3° C. The maximum light use efficiency was observed with application of N:P:K@ 1200:1200:1200 mg/pl/wk. The plant height (78.8 cm), number of primary branches per plant (5.8), days taken to initiate first flower bud (34.8 days), the maximum flower diameter (6.8 cm), stalk length of flower (58.12 cm) and number of flower per plant (8.2) were significantly maximum with application of N:P:K @ 1200:1200:1200 mg/pl/wk.
