Agronomic practices such as time and level of earthing up and amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied had significant effect on juice quality. The quality of juice was better when earthing-up was done up to 20 cm and nitrogen was applied @ 180 kg/ha. The RTS beverage prepared from such juice was most acceptable.
