Abstract

Present investigation was undertaken with vegetable pea (cv. PSM-3) under three irrigation schedules with two irrigation methods (flood and sprinkler) and at 30±1.5, 60±1.5 and 90±1.5 cm water tables, as well as under field conditions with deep water table (190 to 210 cm) conditions. Maximum number of nodules (35.25) and their root dry weight (3.36 g/plant) were obtained when the irrigations were scheduled at vegetative and flowering stages associated with 60±1.5 cm water table depth under the irrigation schedule at IW: CPE 1.0 using sprinkler method of irrigation. The yield attributes like number of pods per plant, number of pods, shelling percentage fresh weight and dry weight of nodule when irrigation was given by sprinkler method at vegetative and flowering stages under 60±1.5 cm watertable condition.
