Abstract

Twenty nine genotypes of greengram comprising of nine parents and 20 crosses were evaluated for yield and its components during kharif, 2013. Analysis of variance revealed significant differences among the genotypes for all the characters studied. Association analysis revealed that plant height, dry weight/plant and pods/plant in parents, while number of pods/plant, clusters/plant, dry weight/plant, branches/plant, pods/cluster and plant height in crosses showed significant and positive association with seed yield as well as among themselves. Hence, emphasis should be given on these characters for selecting desirable segregants.
