Abstract

Amongst the different chemicals used, treatment with KH2PO4 1% + KNO3 1% produced maximum number of fruits per tree (540.90) and yield of fruits (151.10 kg/tree and 15.11 t/ha). Early maturity of fruit (115.46 days) was observed due to the spraying of KH2PO4 1% + Thiourea 1% as compared to control (128.53 days). The treatment KH2PO4 1% + KNO3 1% increased TSS (20.46°Brix), ascorbic acid (35.20 mg 100−1 g) and total sugars (17.85%) contents into the fruits. The treatment with K2 HP041% + Thiourea 1% increased TSS: acid ratio (90.50), reducing sugars (4.29%) while decreased acidity (0.20%) and non-reducing sugars (11.21%).
