Abstract

Maximum plant growth in respect of plant height, number of branches, number of leaves, leaf area, days required for 50 per cent flowering and days required for first harvesting was recorded with the application of 50% RDN + 20 tlha FYM + 25% RDN through vermicompost + 25% RDN through neem cake + PSB + VAM. The yield attributing characters viz., number of fruits per plant, fruit set, fruit weight and fruit yield per plot, better fruit quality in respect fruit diameter, number of seeds per fruit, total soluble solids and acidity were also found to be higher with this treatment.
