Abstract

Present investigation was undertaken during 2011 to study the quality of irrigation water from Deoni Tahsil of Latur district. The SAR of water samples ranged from 0.62 to 13.07 in May while from 0.25 to 12.14 in the month of October. The RSC ranged from -1.2 to 1.0 me L−1 in the month of May, while in October it ranged from -1.4 to 0.6 me L−1. In May pH of irrigation water samples showed positive and significant correlation with EC (0.175*), Na (0.274**), K+ (0.258**), Mg++ (0.281**), Ca++(0.224**), cr (0.256**) and SAR (0.222**). The EC of irrigation water showed positive significant correlation with Na+ (0.913**), Ca++ (0.175*), Mg++(0.243**), Cr(0.284**), SO4 (0.335**), and SAR (0.254**).
