Abstract

In shoot tip explants, minimum contamination (12.33%) was observed with the treatment of HgCl2 (0.1%) for 3 minutes. It also reported highest establishment of culture (79.33%) and maximum shoot length (3.57cm). While in case of nodal segment explants, HgCl2 (0.1%) for 5 minutes reported less contamination (23.50%) with higher establishment (70.34%) and maximum length of shoot (3.87cm). Treatment with NaOCI 25% for 10–15 minutes reported cent per cent control of contamination. However, it did not affected establishment of explants.
