Abstract

The level of market arrivals was low during the month of September and high during the month of November while prices were low during November and high in September. Cyclical indices of arrivals and prices were nearer to one, but a well defined cycle could not be discerned. The correlation coefficient between monthly arrivals and prices were significant, except during 2010–11. The forecasted highest and lowest prices were observed in September and October respectively while arrivals were highest and lowest November and in September 2013 respectively.
