Abstract

This paper attempts to analyze price spread for groundnut in chittoor district. The result showed that there are two marketing channels and channel II is said to be an efficient system because of direct marketing with the processor. Producers had incurred an expenditure of Rs. 48 per quintal in channel I and RS.77.40 per quintal in channel II. Village trader cum commission agent incurred RS. 128.20/quintal as marketing.
