Abstract

The irrigation water samples of Mula command area were collected during the month of April 2007 and analyzed for chemical properties. The pH of water samples was alkaline. The electrical conductivity varied from 0.27 to 8.08 dSm−1. Among the water samples 3.1% samples were moderately suitable, 12.5% were marginally suitable, while rest of the samples (84.4%) were unsuitable for irrigation. Among the cations Mg2+ was predominant followed by Ca++, Na+, K+, whereas among anions SO42- was predominant followed by cr and HCO3 and CO3
