Five species of Physarum Pers. i.e. P compressum Alb. & Schw., Pgilkeyanum Gilbert, Peck & Gilbert., P gyrosum Rost, P lakhanpali Nann. -Brem. & Yamamoto, Pnicarguense Macbr. Bull., have been described, of these P lakhanpali Nann.-Brem. & Yamamoto, constituted new record from Indian flora while rest of the species are being described for the first time from the Maharashtra state.
