Abstract

The genus Didymium Schrad. is one of the largest genus of Myxomycetes. It is fifth report in this series. In the present work, the genus is studied with five species i.e. D. anellus Morgan, D. indicum sp. nov, D. karstensii Nann.-Brem, D. megalosporum Berk & curt and D. muscorum, Lakhanpal & Mukerji. of these, D. indicum sp. nov. is presented as a new to science, whereas, D. karstenii and D. muscorum are being collected for the second time from Indian flora rest of all species are being described for the first time from the Maharashtra state.
