Abstract

The baits with 2 and 2.5 per cent zinc phosphide caused 100 per cent mortality to Mus platythrix and Bandicota bengalensis. In soybean field the live burrow count (LBC) and rodent damage were highest during pod formation stage. The poison bait with Zn3P2 (2%) with ragi broken grain (96%) and groundnut oil (2%) performed better in soybean field with 73.76% rodent population reduction.
