In vitro efficacy of fungicides and bioagents against Alternaria alternata causing leaf blight of canna (Canna indica)

Eight fungicides and five bio-agents were assayed in laboratory for their efficiency against Alternaria alternata causing leaf blight of canna. Among different fungicides tested complete inhibitory effects was recorded with Propiconazole and Hexaconazole followed by Difenconazole. Among the bioagents, Trichoderma harzianum completely inhibited mycelial growth of the test fungus followed by T. viride and T. koningii.
