Six generations of six families developed from nine inbred lines were used to apply scaling tests for attributes of earliness viz., days to flowering, days to fruit ripening and days for economic fruiting period. For days to economic fruiting period importance of both additive and dominance gene effect was found. The earliness being a complex character, preponderance of non-additive gene effect was evidenced.
