The cultivars PR bio 226 and PB 1460 showed less than 6% disease severity, while the HUR 36, HUR 38, HUR 105 and HUR 4–3 were moderately susceptible and showed 27.9 to 34.20% disease severity against Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae under epiphytotic condition. The area under the disease progress curve of resistance cultivars varied from 54.25 to 60.2 and moderately susceptible from 289.45 to 368.9 in pure stands; while in 4:1, 6:1 and 8:1 mixed cultivation plots it ranged from 224.4 to 296.1, 233.8 to 322.7 and 263.2 to 348.6, respectively. The bacterial leaf blight control efficiencies of moderately susceptible cultivars in different mixture combinations reached to 19.2% to 30.6% than their control efficiencies in pure strand from 27.9% to 34.2%. Thus, the distance of disease progressed in mixed cultivation plots reduced by about one-fourth as compared with its pure stand.
