Abstract

The field experiments were undertaken to assess feasibility offertilizers application based on soil test and yield target approach for newly released sugarcane, variety CoM 0265. The yield targets of 175 and 200 t ha−1 were achieved with a deviation of 0.69 and 0.50% with FYM and 5.91 and 5.39% without FYM indicating validity of the fertilizer prescription equations. Significantly highest cane and CCS yield t ha−1 was obtained in 200 t ha−1 target with FYM. The per tonne uptake of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium were within the range of 1.27 to 1.67 kg, 0.21 to 0.29 kg and 1.70 to 2.03 kg, respectively.
