Abstract

The stones pre-treated with cow dung for 24 hr recorded significantly maximum root stock height (67.90 cm), rootstock diameter (13.17 mm), number of leaves (57.80), fresh weight (108.33 g) and survival percentage (100.00) at eight months after sowing. However, more number of lateral roots per rootstock (42.95) and maximum dry weight (45.90 g) was observed in the stones treated with panchagavya 3% for 3 hr. It remained at par with the treatments of cow dung for 24 hr and GA3 100 ppm for 10 min.
