Ocimum kilimandscharicum, an aromatic medicinal plant, was analyzed for its preliminary pharmacognostic features. It showed presence of bioactive compounds like alkaloids, saponins, phenols and tannins. Details of dermatological and leaf -architectural features were studied for its easy identification.
