The relative susceptibility of nine rice varieties to Sitotrga cerealella was evaluated on the basis of total developmental period and per cent loss in weight of seeds. The per cent loss in weight of seeds ranged from 2.15 to 22.12% with an average value of 8.02%. Minimum total developmental period (21.67 days) and maximum loss in weight (22.12%) was observed in variety Moti.
