Abstract

Significant effect of Organic and Inorganic fertilizers was observed on weight of onion bulb (171.80g), weight of bulb (167.17 g), yield per plot (22.56 kg) and yield per hectare (67.16T), due to the application of 50%RDF + 50% poultry manure. Higher values of total soluble solids (14.79° brix), ascorbic acid (12.47%), reducing sugar (3.03%), Non reducing sugar (4.845%) and total sugar (7.87%) contents were observed due to the application of 75% RDF +25% poultry manure. During storage, lowest rotting (4.19%), PLW (7.11%) and total loss (11.31%) was observed when 50% RDF + 50% vermicompost was applied.
