Abstract

Majority of banana growers were of old age, educated up to college level, from medium family size, with annual income of more than Rs. 1, 00, 000/-, had small holding (<4 Ha.), more farming experience (> 20 years), banana cultivation experience of > 15 years) open dug well as source of irrigation, drip method of irrigation, medium level of knowledge and adoption of recommended technologies for banana production. The situational constraints were found to be more important in relation to the adoption of recommended technologies.
