Exposure of wild sensitive isolate of Alternaria dauci causing leaf blight of carrot (Ad-11) to carbendazim continuously for eight successive passages increased carbendazim resistance in vitro and in vivo. When it was altered with benomyl, dhanuka and kocide there was complete inhibition of pathogen. More or less similar results were obtained in vivo experiments. Carbendazim along with benomyl, dhanuka and kocide completely checked the growth of pathogen at first passage only.
