The Regional Extension Centre, Dhule conducted 150 demonstrations on Chickpea (cv. Digvijay) during 2011–12 and 2013–14 in rabi season. There was 32.79 to 59.07 per cent increase in yield. Adoption of improved production technology recommended by Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri (Maharashtra) gave significant increase in the yield. Improved production technology resulted in enhanced yield from 1850 kg to 3125 kg/ha, due to high yielding varieties, recommended seed rate, fertilization and plant protection measures.
