Abstract

During present investigation, storage mycoflora was isolated from marking–nut seeds. Nine fungal isolates were isolated. Asper gillusniger, A. fumigatus, A. glaucus, A. terreus were found to be the dominant fungi in addition to Rhizopus, Alternaria, curvularia, Monilia and Chalarasps. Gradual decrease in carbohydrates, protein, reducing sugar and oil contents in the seeds was observed during storage, while there was gradual increase in phenols with the increase in storage period.
