Twenty five genotypes of sorghum were evaluated for genetic studies in randomized block design during 2014–15. The analysis of variance revealed significant mean sum of square for all the characters under study. The result of study revealed that the magnitudes of phenotypic coefficient of variation were greater than genotypic coefficient of variations for all characters. The High estimates of heritability in conjugation with higher values of genetic advance and genotypic coefficient of variation for the characters viz. Plant height, Number of leaves per plant, leaf breadth, Green and Dry fodder yield indicated preponderance of additive genetic variance for these characters. Positive and significant association of number of leaves per plant, leaf breadth and dry fodder yield with green fodder yield indicate the importance of these characters during selection for crop improvement program in forage sorghum.
