The chemical compatibility was assessed by studying the biological effectiveness of fungicide-insecticide combination against test fungus C. capsici and the test insect S. litura. Of the sixteen fungicide-insecticide combinations tested, carbendazim (40.94ppm) + endosulfan (141.37 ppm) showed high compatibility and synergism with 87.46 per cent non-germinated spores, while the combination, hexaconazole (45.17 ppm) + indoxacarb (83.2 ppm) showed only 0.73 per cent inhibition indicating their high incompatibility and antagonism aginst C. capsici. Whereas, in chlorothalonil (1.16ppm) + endosulfan (141.37 ppm), mancozeb (97.0 ppm) + thiodicarb (453.78 ppm) and mancozeb (97.0) + endosulfan (141.37 ppm) combinations, the percent inhibition of spore germination was recorded as 74.08, 58.17 and 56.91 per cent respectively indicating synergism and compatibility. All other combinations were incompatible showing antagonism by recording reduced per cent nongerminated spores of the test fungus.
