Abstract

Ringing treatment to mango tree in first fortnight of May resulted in maximum shoot diameter (0.97 cm), lowest shoot length (14.98 cm) with minimum number of leaves (15.44), early flowering (26.80 days), early fruiting (17.65 days), maximum flowering intensity (79.77%), higher hermaphrodite flowers (14.20%), maximum fruit set (2.78%), maximum fruit retention (0.604%) with minimum days to harvest (108.69) and highest yield 3.67 t ha−1 over rest of the treatments.
