The field experiment conducted during Rabi season of 2009–2010 at post graduate research farm, College of Agriculture, Kolhapur (MS) revealed that under weed free condition the nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium uptake by wheat grain and straw was 53.38, 18.05 and 28.64 kg ha−1, and 29.18, 9.22 and 41.72 kg ha−1 respectively, followed by pendimethal in (PE) 1.0 kg a.i. ha−1 + one hoeing at 30 DAS (23.18, 14.73 and 23.48 kg ha−1, respectively by grain and 23.18, 5.92 and 33.00 kg ha−1 respectively by straw).
