Abstract

The cereal fodder varieties, cultivated in Maharashtra, were rated in the order of Phule Ruchira > Phule Amruta > African Tall > Phule Godhan > Phule Jaywant > Phule Gowardhan on the basis of palatability and nutritional composition. Cultivars containing lowest acid detergent fibre and neutral detergent fibre and highest in vitro dry matter digestibility were most palatable.
